Brasilia Palace Hotel, Oscar Niemeyer's treasure from 1950's
Brasilia Palace Hotel is the very first building to have been designed in Brasilia city, in 1957, by architect Oscar Niemeyer. It embodies the whole modernity of Brazilian 1950’s architecture.
In the 1956, President Juscelino Kubitschek launched the construction of Brasilia in the heart of the country, to become the new Brazilian capital and prove to the world Brazil’s modernity.
The construction of the amazing modernist city lasted only 4 years, directed by urbanist Lucio Costa, and architect Oscar Niemeyer. The city hosts a dozen of emblematic modern monuments such as Brasilia Cathedral and National Congress.
The first building to be conceived is the Brasilia Palace hotel, in 1957, to welcome all the personalities needed on site as part of the project.
Brasilia Palace appears as a masterpiece of Brazilian modern architecture. Modern lines of Oscar Niemeyer design the space, made with qualitative materials and design furnitures.
